License and purchase
Screen Director is distributed through the Mac App Store as a paid-upfront app. Your purchase and use are also subject to Apple’s standard licensed application terms and the rules of the storefront used for the purchase.
Your content
You retain ownership of recordings, captions, projects, branding, and exports you create. You are responsible for having permission to record people, applications, audio, confidential material, and copyrighted content.
Acceptable use
Do not use Screen Director to violate privacy, intellectual-property rights, laws, platform rules, or contractual restrictions. Recording indicators and permission prompts must not be used to mislead participants.
Availability
Compatibility, caption languages, performance, and export capability depend on your Mac, macOS version, permissions, source application, and selected settings. Preview information on this site may describe planned functionality before the public release.
No hosted service
Version 1 is local-only. Screen Director does not provide storage, hosted links, collaboration, backup, or recovery of files deleted from your Mac. You are responsible for your own backups.
Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the app and website are provided without promises that every recording source or workflow will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
